have a cisco 1100 series.

we are going to be at a show with multiple vendors in the building.

most every vendor has their own office in this building, with their own wireless network setup.

when our users power on their laptops they normally see 7 to 8 wireless networks available.

what is the optimum way of setting up our cisco 1100 series access point in an enviroment such as this?

choose a channel where there is least interference. You can do this by looking at the rssi of the other ap's you see when you turn on the labtop (netstumbler can be used for this or cisco sitesurvey)or use a spectrum analyzer also put the transmit power as high as possible, because that's what all the other people in that building do. Quality of your link will always be questionable. You could also solve this by buying an ap equiped with an a radio.
