SNMP on IPCC server

Unanswered Question
Sep 21st, 2007

A customer had an Security Audit performed and one of the action items is a Default SNMP Community string on the IPCC server. Can this service be disabled or will changing the string effect anything?

Thanks,

Joe

I have this problem too.

SNMP should't be disabled, but you can change the string to something more secure. Make sure SNMP string is the same on all servers.

Thanks for the reply...can you explain what you mean by all servers...does this string have to match my callmanager and unity servers?

Thanks,

Joe

No, just ipcc servers (routers, loggers, pg's, aw, hds, etc)
