ISSU questions

How is ISSU enabled / disabled on a switch (4500)?

Do we need an special license for that?

If yes,

- can I find out on the CLI if the licence was purchased?

- could I theoretically use the ISSU-features without an additional licence?

Thanks

Yes, ISSU is a normal feature. Similar to Software Modularity introduced on the 6500 Series.

ISSU comes with 12.2(31)SGA code. If you have a service contract, you can download this feature with the associated IOS.

Please see ISSU documentation at:

HTH,

Thanks for you response.

Just to verify:

ISSU is just like a "normal" feature, available in IOS, starting with 12.2(31)SGA and does not require any license beside the usal IOS-licence.

Is this correct?

I was in the believed that an additional fee will be charges for ISSU... (similiar to IPV6)
