Hello to all,

My 3002 client successfully passes the IKE phase 1, but I get the following error. The client is listed as a GROUP and not a USER

17404 09/22/2007 20:22:19.180 SEV=3 AUTH/80 RPT=22134

A user attempted to log on using only group credentials: handle = 258, user =

Thanx in advance

Hi,

The problem is that you have a username that is the same as the group name. The

Concentrator requires that all group/user names are unique even if you have an external

authentication server.

By using a different username you should not see this error.

I hope it helps.

Regards,

Arul

Hello,

It is a different user name. There is only one connection to the concentrator, and it is me, and I am using PPTP. This user that is failing is a HW client which is a GROUP, using a group name and user name that are different than me. When I set

"authentication" to none, the HW client connects.

I am using INTERNAL authentication. PPTP users do not have a problem, I think this is an IPSec issue of some kind.

Thanx
