Hello, We have a Cisco 827H router which remote clients connect to. One of our users have updated to Windows Vista and would like to use the Cisco VPN Client software so they can connect.

Firstly, does the software work with the 827H using Vista?

Secondly, I am cisco.com registered user, so why am i unable to download the software, as it keeps asking for a login of which i enter is incorrect.

Thank you.

Mike, here are couple of links where you can download vpn client for all OS platforms. You will need file access download via cco.

http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/vpnclient-3des

http://www.cisco.com/kobayashi/sw-center/sw-vpn.shtml

As far as accessing Cisco file access downloads you would need to contact cisco systems , usually with Smarnet service contract you would have access to file downloads, if you believe you do have that access and cannot download please contact them.

Keep in mind that there is currently no Cisco VPN Client software for the 64-bit version of Windows Vista. The 32-bit version is supported.

Also: A Cisco VPN Client is a Cisco VPN Client to a router or firewall. It will make no difference for the 827H if the client uses Vista or Windows 98!

Please rate if the post is usefull!

Regards,

Michael

Thanks, just what i needed to know. I only have 1 user which upgraded to vista and is unable to connect to our office due to this, maybe others that will have to update soon also. Is there a way i can register with cisco downloads without having to pay for a registration or something? Thanks
