laptop is in the same subnet as port 2/1 in vlan 1.
I can ping the switch from both laptop windows and the switch. But i can't ping laptop from both laptop windowns nor the switch.

Hi Friend,
Can you check if you have any firewall installed on your laptop which is not pingable. If XP machine it has bydefault firewall enabled.

Check your windows sys's firewall. I suspect it block the ping packages.
