Gateway hardware for UK PSTN

Unanswered Question
Sep 24th, 2007

I have a test setup and am having the classic problems with FXO connections. I would like to verify my hardware suitability before I go any further...

Could any one who has a working system in the UK using analogue lines confirm (or deny) that the hardware below will (when properly configured) correctly connect to the standard BT PSTN and handle connections/disconnections properly?

If anyone with such a working config could give me the results to the following command that would also be much appreciated;

sho voice port

The CallManager server appears fine internally, it just if my gateway as detailed below will do the job;

Cisco 2611 Router

IOS (tm) C2600 Software (C2600-IS5-M), Version 12.3(10a), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)

ROM: System Bootstrap, Version 11.3(2)XA4, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

System image file is "flash:c2600-is5-mz.123-10a.bin"

cisco 2610 (MPC860) processor (revision 0x203) with 61440K/4096K bytes of memory.

Bridging software.

X.25 software, Version 3.0.0.

1 Ethernet/IEEE 802.3 interface(s)

4 Voice FXO interface(s)

32K bytes of non-volatile configuration memory.

16384K bytes of processor board System flash (Read/Write)

Voice cards (via NM-2V)

VIC-FXO-M2

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I have this problem too.
