Cisco Works - how to save changes made by Port assignment

Hi,

I am using Cisco Works VLAN Port assignment to make changes - for example change the VLAN on a certain port of a switch. How can I make sure that the changes are saved to the configuration? My changes worked for about 2 weeks and then were overwritten by the last configuration when the backup schedule took place.

Help please!

Are you copying the running config to startup?

A config backup should not over write your config.

Yesterday I entered my changes again and set the mark at "copy running to startup ios config". I did not do that while making the changes the first time. I wasn't sure if that mark was necessary???

If you wanted it to be saved in nvram then you can mark it. If you don't then your changes won't be saved on a reload.
