dear sir,

Recently we try to upgrade the memory size of the unity server model mcs-7835-H1 . Before upgrade we have 2gb of memory size running live , 1 gb each . We try to upgrade the memory by slot in 2 unit of 1gb ram into the server. During the server bootup, it detect all 4 gb ram and tested ok , then it boot into windows 2000 environment. At the system properties we can see 4 gb of memory size but we try to run the directx but it only display 2gb of memory size. The current directx version in the unity server is version 7. Attached is the sample explaination of the scenario.

Please advise. Thank you very much.

Hi Chialun

Dxdiag.exe cannot report memory that is in use at the time that it starts. Therefore, it is not uncommon to see less memory reported than your video card actually

hi gogasca,

Thank you for your response. I agreed with your statement but we just curious how's this happen? You try on your pc system , go to run--> type in dxdiag . You will see the actual memory that tally with your system memory size. Why this doesn't happen on this unity box? :D

That question pop up in our mind.
