User assinged DN but no device associated required

Some employees do not have permanent desks but require DN assigned for each mobility user. These people will use virtual desk (aka host desk) office space.

CCM 4.1(3) can you create a user and assign a DN without device configuration?

Yes, think in Extension Mobility feature.

Look for Extension Mobility in cisco.com

i don't know why but I suspected that users must have associated devices - but clearly that's not the case :-)
