My take is that Microsoft is offering VoIP products so it became a competitor instead of a partner. Cisco is not going to use Microsoft products in order to help microsoft with revenue. I think the Jedi at Cisco spent a lot of time thinking how to move away from microsoft products and that's one of the main reasons for the switch.
