Bonded Bandwidth Bottleneck on ASA5505 or 5510

We have a 5510 and a 5505 at two remote offices that have bonded T1s going through 2821 ISRs.

We are seeing an under-utilization of the bandwidth and I am trying to figure out if there is some over head in the technologies using the tunnel that might not allow us to use the full bandwidth. We seem to spike at about 1.9 Mbps, but don't get any higher than that, and even with latency, we should be able to get around 3.5 Mbps I would think?

Any ideas on what could be causing the bottleneck would be apreciated.

It depends on how the Ts are bonded. I don't believe you have any problem on the ASAs, most likely the bonded Ts are doing "load balancing" sort of thing. You still shoudl be able to get the full bandwidth out of your bonded Ts but NOT in one seesion. You can test it by doing multiple download. Good luck.
