ASA 5510 VPN Connection Issues

we have an asa 5510 licensed for 250 VPN tunnels, however we can only do 20 VPN tunnel, it does not allow any connection after 20 VPN tunnels..

What can i do?

Hi,

We need to clarify the following first;

1. The 250 license is for what VPN? IPSEC or SSL?

- Using ASDM, for IPSEC, you can see the value in "VPN Peers"

- Using ASDM, for SSL, you can see the value in "WebVPN Peers"

2. What VPN connections reached 20? IPSEC or SSL?

The 250 license is for IPSEC VPN. The value in VPN peers is 250.

IPSEC VPN connection reached 20.

Hi,

In ASDM, Configuration + General + VPN Systems Option

Check if the check box for "Limit the maximum number of active IPSec VPN sessions. The range is from 1 to 2000" is selected and the "Maximum Active VPN Sessions" box has a value of 20 or nearly so. If it is, increase the limit or unselect the check box for unlimited number of sessions.
