I'm running CRS 4.0.4 with callmanager 4.2.3. My desktop agents work fine and I was going to use IP phone agent as a backup for anytime a PC is down. When I select the service on the phone I get the error "host not found." I am using the callmanager IP in the service URL and my callmanagers are identified in the callmanager menu on the CCM by their IP addresses. I have restarted the TFTP service and reset the phones. I have the desktop agent closed on the PC while I am trying to login to the phone agent. What else could be causing my problem?

Maybe the subnet where your IP-Phone is in can?t reach the Service URL address (port 80).
Or you are using a firewall that is blocking the communication between IP-Phone and Callmanager.

I have similar issue with this same problem on CCM 6.1.2. Make sure that "Update Subscriptions" button is click in order for it to work, Save button will not.

Hi. It is working now. I have just put ip address of ccm instead of host name of the callmanger in the enterprise parameter URL services. Now it is working fine.
