2811, PVDM2-16, do I need configure 'flex' to support 16ch?

I confiugred T1 timeslot 1-16 and 'show voice dsp' displays 16 channel but nothing configured under 'voice-card 0'

as per doc, 'medium' codec complexity is default and it supports 8 channel.

Do I have 8 channels only since 'medium' complexity by default? If yes, is it mendatory configuring 'flex' to support 16 channels?

Nothing will show up under voice-card 0 if you are just configuring a T1. The voice-card configurations are used for conferencing, transcoding, and MTP resources.

If you have a PVDM2-16 in your router and the T1 configured for slots 1-16, you are using all available DSP resources. If you want to enable the above resources, you will need to add additional PVDM's to your router.
