2811 and VWIC-1MFT-E1

i have a 2811 router with (C2800NM-ADVIPSERVICESK9-M), Version 12.4(15)T. I was intending to configure this E1 card for Data but it doesn't take me to the controller interface. what might be the problem? can this vwic do data?

I think it does support data as well. What does the show diag show?

Hi,

Try the following,

Router(config)# card type e1 subslot

Then,

Router(config)#controller E1 port

Go on to configure the controller as usual followed by your serial interface.

Actually, VWIC-xMFT-E1 does not need 'card type' command. Only the VWIC2 cards do need it.
