This is the configuration guide. The feature is know to work.

http://cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6441/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a00804550bc.html

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

thanks. I got it to work partially through the following config. Note I replaced members.dyndns.org with 63.208.196.96.

ip ddns update method dyndns

http

add http://test:test@/nic/update?system=dyndns&hostname=&myip=

interval max 28 0 0 0

interface ethernet1

ip ddns update hostname test.dyndns.org

ip ddns update dyndns host 63.208.196.96

ip addr 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0

The problem I now that is that the DDNS is updating the hostname with the internal ip address (i.e 192.168.1.1).

How to ensure that the WAN ip is matched to the hostname?

Note The Cisco 2801 is connected to the ADSL router through a Cisco Catalyst L2 switch.

Thx

what if i create a subinterface with no ip address??

anyone tried that?

With which interface do you connect to ADSL? Your DDNS configuration must be put under that interface.

I created an interface this morning with no ip address but it does update the dydns record with the WAN ip address.

How to ensure that the WAN IP address is updated?

thx
