6509 Dual Chassis MSFC2 in SSO

I have two 6509's with 2 Sup2s w/MFSC2 I am trying to figure the best way to create load balancing with the MSFC2s. On Core6509-1 the software is Cat8.5 and the MSFC2 is running 12.2-18 and the 2 MSFC2s are in SSO. Core6509-2 is running the same CatIOS but the MFSC2s are running 12.1. w HSRP configured.I plan on upgrading this one. But, not until I have the Load balancing setup. Core6509-2 is our primary router. Core6509-1 is not being utilized as of yet.

Hi Friend,

My action will be to configure SSO on the second 6509 also and then configure HSRP between the 2 chassis to get gateway load balancing for clients.

In this version I read that SSO replaces HSRP. So I didn't even consider it as an Option. Looking at the availible commands I see Standby is availible.
