Here is an explanation on the error message that you are seeing on the

switch.

% Warning: Waiting for draco inventory message from SP.

% Reload MSFC without saving configuration if the MSFC does not recover.

% Configuration allowed only from Primary

Explanation:

Upon Supervisor switchover, there is a message from the active supervisor

which tells who is the Master and who is the Slave. In this case, it is possible

that this message is lost or not sent by the supervisor.

The standby MSFC does not know whether it is the master or slave, so we can not make

configuration change and this is why we need to try reloading the session 16.

I would suggest you the following troubleshooting steps during a maintenance window.

1. Backup config from the sup and MSFC

2. Try to reload module 16

(enable) reset 16

3. If the module not comes up try to reseat the standby supervisor

4. If you still experience the same symptoms allow session 15 to come up as Master

(enable) set module disable 16

(enable) reset 15

Verify session 15 has come up in ok status on the output of "show module"

Bring up the module 16 if session 15 is in ok status

(enable) set module enable 16

Verify session 16 with "show module"
