Mfr utility fixes problem with Windows XP wireless networking

Dear all,

I configured an 1130 autonomous ap with an open guest ssid and another unadvertized WEP enabled ssid.

I could not get Windows XP to successfully associate and connect in any combination of desktop settings and ap configuration.

Everything worked as soon as I disabled Window wireless networking and started using MSI's utility for 802.11g MiniPCI integral adapter.

Should I attribute the problem to this particular adapter or Windows wireless networking in general?

Thanks.

It could not be a problem with the adapter since it is able to associate with another utility. It might be a problem in interoperabilty between windows wireless network and adapter. You can check to see if you have any winodws patch for this. Refer to URL
