WLSE Client Historical Association Report event IP_Address_Change

Hello,

does anybody know what this event means for clients which are not using DHCP?

Our customer has bar code readers wireless clients, one group is using LEAP authentication with WEP cipher, another group is using PEAP authentication with TKIP cipher and WPA key handling, all have configured IP addresses, none is using DHCP.

The event IP_Address_Change is logged quite frequently.

The clients are switching to standby mode when they are not active, does not this event means that the client has reconnected after exit from standby mode?

Regards

Make sure if the event is triggerred for the clients in questions. Because for any device that gets the address via DHCP or address gets changed due to roaming this event gets trigerred . http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/cscowork/ps3915/prod_troubleshooting_guide_chapter09186a008052d9b0.html#wp1063210
