VOIP Call Disconnects on answer/ off hook

Hi

I am having a problem whereby IP calls coming in over the WAN are being dropped on lifting up the handset. In the past I have had this problem when there is a routing problem but this does not seem to be the case this time. Do you have any suggestions on what this could be ?

Call Flow is

PSTN->PBX->E1->3825->MPLS->3825->E1->IPPBX->IP Phone

This could be caused by a codec mismatch. Verify that you are using the same codec end to end or that you have a transcoder in place to translate between different codecs.
