How to Update Old Devices in CiscoView

Hi, we changed some IPs for some switches and the switch is listed using the hostname but the IP Address is the old one thus preventing me from seeing the switch. I did notice that the switch is now listed using the new IP. How can I remove/update the listing that uses the hostname and then delete the listing using the IP Address?

To make your device to be discovered with the device hostname add the ip address, hostname of each device into the c:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file for a windows system. But when you change the ip address this has to be updated.

Thanks for replying.

The hosts file is completely empty so that isn't a way to correct the problem.
