VIC not supported?

Hi all!

I installed CCM 5.1(2b) and wanted to add an MGCP gateway (I installed it on 2811) with WIC-1B-S/T-V3 to the configuration for the outgoing calls. The problem is that when I configure GW, in "Configured Slots, VICs and Endpoints -> Module in Slot 0 ->NM-4WVIC-MBRD" I dont get WIC-1B-S/T-V3 as an option, only VIC2-2BRI. Does it mean that CCM doesn't support this card or am I doing something wrong?!?

Hi Goran,

This card is not supported for voice :(. Here is an excerpt from a good doc;

Q. Does the 4-port BRI expansion module support voice and data?

A. The 4-port BRI expansion module supports voice services only. A BRI service provides two 64-kbps B-channels for voice or data and one 16-kbps D-channel for signaling information or data.** BRI data support is available with the Cisco 1-Port BRI S/T WAN card (part number WIC-1B-S/T-V3.
