Hi Friend,

For BGP specific Sam Halabi will be the best option.

For EIGRP,OSPF and BGP you can also read CCIE vol 1 & 2 by Jeff Doyl.

For OSPF have a look at this design guide also

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/104/1.html

For EIGRP

Hi,

For OSPF, go for 'OSPF Anatomy of an Internet Routing Protocol by John Moy'.

John Moy is the author OSPF routing protocol.

For BGP,go for 'Practical BGP by Russ White'

Doyle, every time. Both volumes.

The new edition of the CCIE certification guide (Wendell Odom) is pretty good too.

Indeed Doyle. That is the start point. Many books I have I claimed on expenses, Doyle is *MINE*.

I find many technical books, the primary aim really seems to be to show how clever the author is, but Doyle is readable. My only complaint about Doyle is that it was not written when I was doing my CCIE!

Paul.

Hi,

Alex Zinin:

Cisco IP Routing: Packet Forwarding and Intra-domain Routing Protocols

Addison Wesley Professional - 2001

A little old but still an excellent book.

For BGP:

BGP Design and Implementation
Randy Zhang, Micah Bartell
Cisco Press 2004

Hi,

Routing TCP/IP volume 1 , 2. By Jeff Doyle.

CCIE Routing and Switching Certification Guide ver 4. By Wendell Odom.

Internet Routing Architecture by Sam Halabio.

There is some other advance books but the above should give you understanding and the needed theory for those routing protocols.
