Change the time

Rather simple question but just want to be sure. I have two 9509's connected via a FCIP connection. The London one is 1 hour 30 minutes fast. The Europe 9509 is set to BST but correct for that timezone. Can I change the time on both switches and the timezone on the Europe switch without causing I/O problems?

Thanks.

G'day,

Time's on the switch have no relevance on data flows....

Cheers

It might be worth keeping them set to UTC or something so it is easier to correlate debug information in the event of failures etc.

I know it can be a pain in the backside when you have multiple timezones trying to workout what log was what time was where :-)

If you use tcp timestamps option you need synced clocks on each fcip peer, so NTP is recommended. Else the connection will fail. You can config variance tolerance. See config guide.
