Catalyst 4006 Cat OS to IOS

Hello:

Just wondering if this is even possible. The chassis in question has a WS-X4013 sup in it, 64MB of DRAM and 16MB of flash. Any more detail needed, please let me know. TIA for any guidance.

The quick answer is no you cannot upgrade that to IOS , catos only. You need a Sup IIplus to have IOS and that comes with it from the factory.

Hi Brad,

This facility is not available for cat4k switches like you have on Cat6k switches. Cat4k sups will either run CATOS or will run IOS.

So sup 1 and sup 2 will only run and support CATOS and sup 2+,3,4,5 will only run IOS.
