i would like to ask what is the different using mgcp or sccp control vg224. we will install analog phone, fax and modem in vg224. so i would like to know which protocol use.

Hi Mike,
I think that you would want to use SCCP (not MGCP),due to the fact that SCCP has support for many common Telephony features;

My rule of thumb here is the following:
- if you require supplementary services for analog phones go with SCCP
- if most of your devices are faxes go with H.323 or MGCP, as SCCP does not work well with faxes, the one drawback to H.323 is lack of secondary dialtone, and MGCP is lack survivability
