Hello fellows,

I trying to implement a new IP based video surveillance system, in a small office with five cameras. I would like to know if the ( not integrated) services platform SP-800 support video input from IP cameras directly, and if cisco have IP cameras with PoE.

The Cisco high-definition cameras and Cisco Unified IP Phone 7970G receive power down the LAN from the Cisco IEEE 803.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch incorporated into the Cisco TelePresence codec.

Have a look at Dave Twinam's homepage: lots of good information:

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

The idea is to bypass the need of an IP gateway.

I woul like to connect the IP cameras directly on a SP-800 or SP-2000+
