Hi Team,
We have received a Cisco3845 that has the below configuration:-
HWIC Slot 0 VIC2-4FXO
HWIC Slot 1 VIC2-4FXO
HWIC Slot 2 VIC2-4FXO
HWIC Slot 3 VIC2-4FXO
NM Slot 1 NM-HDV2-1T1/E1 One Onboard E1
There is only one PVDM2-64 on board the Cisco 3845 MB and there are no DSPs on the NM-HDV2-1T1/E1.
Is there any way that I can use the onboard DSP (PVDM2-64) and allocate 30 Channels for the NM-HDV2-1T1/E1.
When I try to configure the pri-group timeslots 1-31 on the E1 Controller 1/0 I get a message that there are No DSP Resouces to create the Voice Port.
I believe NM-HDV2-1T1/E1 should have its own DSP Resources, but would like to clarify from the experts here on the forum.

Yes, it needs it's own resources, and cannot use the DSP on the board. Perhaps you can trade the pvdm2-64 for 2 x pvdm2-32, that's what you would need if using 'light' codecs only.
hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

Do the following -
voice card 0
dspfarm <--- add this command
voice card
dspfarm <--- add this command
These will enable DSP resource sharing between the motherboard DSP's and the voice card in the NM slot.
You then need to enable correct clocking synchronisation between the NM-HDV2 and the router TDM backplane by adding these commands -
network-clock-participate slot
network-clock-select 1 e1

I didn't know DSP farm was possible for this configuration; the fact that you are confirming it works it's even better.
I apologize for the confusion I made indicating the opposite.
