How to keep CDR transaction log from growing

I am running CCM 4.1.3 with BARS 4.0.12 and I have to to manually run SQL commands to shrink the CDR log every few days to keep the file from growing. I do have BARS scheduled to run nightly but for reason it's not truncating the CDR log. I am seeing an error message in the application log saying "Backup failed to complete the command Backup log CDR with truncate only" and I think this is the reason why the CDR log keeps growing. Has anyone run into this issue before ? Please share your experience !!!

Danny,

Go to CAR>System>Database>Automatic Purge

You can set the duration for whatever you want.

When you run the SQL shrink does it take several minutes and show a big reduction? If you don't select Files and run it from the second window it complete in a few seconds and will show successful, but won't actually do much.
