I'm looking to change our LWAPP Transport from Layer 2 to Layer 3. Is is as easy as just changing the LWAPP Transport Mode setting on our controllers (4402)saving and rebooting? Will I need to reboot the access points as well? (OTAP is enabled)
Thanks.

Hi Alan,
You shouldn't need to do anything to the AP's. Here is a little clip;
In order to change the LWAPP Transport Mode using the GUI, go to the WLC page and locate the second selection in the main field which is LWAPP Transport Mode. Change this to Layer 3 and reboot the controller.
From this doc;

Hope this helps!

Hi Alan,
In addition to Rob's post I will recommend you to make sure you have DHCP server available for your APs to get an ip address so that they can join controller.
