If I have a group of switches within a network, is there a single command which will tell me which switch is the STP root? Or will I need to telnet into each switch and use the show spanning-tree command? Thanks in advance.

Hi Bill
sh spanning-tree vlan "vlan number" will show the root bridge mac-address and the root port which tells you which switch to go to but you will still need to track this down switch by switch.
