ONS 15454 problem turning up OC12

Board.

I am trying to turn up an OC12 (non-concatenated) that is muxed from a OC48. The OC48 terminates on an ONS 15454 on both sides. From there we run SM fiber to Cisco 12000 series onto an SM OC12/SMT4 Line card on both sides too.

My settings for the ONS are as follows:

Type=STS

Size 12C

Dir = 2way

We see on one Cisco UP/DOWN, and on other Cisco Down/Down

Does any on this forum have any tips at all?

You say you want a "non-concatenated" OC-12 but have created a 12c cross connect. Try creating 12 STS-1 cross connects from the OC-48 to the OC-12.

I know this sounds silly, but have you checked power levels? It almost sounds like you are overdriving the interfaces....

Which OC12 LC do you have on the 12000?

CHOC12/STS3-IR-SC

4OC12E/POS-IR-S

4OC12X/POS-I-SC-B

etc

The Line card is the same on both sides:
