Can someone point me to the instructions for loading new phone loads onto CCM using the alternative (.zip file) method (manual installation vs. the automated .exe installation). Objective is to install the new firmware on individual pilot phones without changing the default load for all phones. Thanks!

Upgrading on one ip phone:
Step 1 Save the attached file (it is a ?.bin? file) to the "c:\program files\cisco\tftppath"
Step 2 Open Cisco CallManager Administration.
Step 3 Select Devices > Phone. The Find and List Phones page displays.
Step 4 Enter search criteria to locate a specific phone.
Step 5 A list of discovered devices appears.
Step 6 Click Device Name. The Phone Configuration window appears.
Step 7 Enter the appropriate load in the Load Information field. Use uppercase for letters
Step 8 Click Update.
The information is saved in Cisco CallManager Administration. For the change to take effect, you must reset the phone. Only the phone you updated with the new load uses that load.

On the phone configuration page(not line) under Firmware Load Information field there is
"Phone Load Name" - just insert there the name of the firmware(it should be in the TFTP root directory like other firmware).
PS.My CCM version is 4.3 and do it in a long way:
1. copy the name of the current load on Device>Device Settings>Firmware Load Information
> Device Defaults Configuration page
2.install new dev_package or separate firmware
3. After setup updates firmware name, I insert there a previous one(step 1).
4. Then insert the new firmware load name on the Phone Configuration Page.
5. Do not forget to do this on pub and sub servers
