Hello,
As you may notice by my conversation title, I'm a complete newbie to Cisco. All I really need to know is how can I determine the IP address for my 2600 series Router? I have no idea how to communicate with it. I'm not familiar with any software related GUI's for configurations (if any exists).
Any help would be much appreciated.

Do you know the hostname for it?
Do you have physical access to it?

I don't have the hostname either. I do however have access to it.
I read about connecting to it via a com serial port, and then hyperterminal to it, but the device only has RJ(45?) input/outputs. I'm guessing I'll end up telnet to it, but without an IP or hostname, it's kinda difficult, right?
I thought about using 'ping -a 192.168.1.x' and just repeating that for the last octect until I saw a hostname that might resemble the router, but that hasn't worked yet.
