Short-range STM64 optical card can support Intermediate-range XFP?

Can the Short-range STM64 optical card (15454E-10G-I1) supports the Intermediate-range XFP (ONS-XC-10G-I2)??? Anyone tried this configuration before?

On the catalyst switches, the SFP linecards can support all types of SFP (SX, LX/LH or ZX). Can the optical cards on the ONS15454E do the same?

Yes optical cards on the ONS15454E do the same and also STM64 XFP is recognized. The ONS15454 are contain VXL, ML1000-2, STM4 and STM64 linecards.

I believe that the software will prevent the ONS-XC-10G-I2 XFP from operating in the 15454E-10G-I1 version of 10Gbps card.

You will need to use the 15454E-10G-XR version of the 10Gbps card.
