Hi;
I did a "show process events" in a 6506 and it reload-restarted...
The crash ifo has the line: "Address Error (load or instruction fetch) exception, CPU signal 10, PC = 0x4047DB2C"
Is this normal?
The command "show process events" uses so much resources it has to reboot the 6506?
What type of commands are dangerous for a 6506? (so they reboot the system)?
Thanks. Regards

Hi
Address errors occur when the software tries to access data on incorrectly-aligned boundaries; two-byte and four-byte accesses are allowed only on even addresses. An address error usually indicates a software bug, but faulty hardware can also be a cause.
I would try an upgrade to the latest version of your Cisco IOS Software release train.
Hope this helps

It is obviously a IOS bug if any "show" command causes the box to reload , you can try a newer version or look for bugs on the bug navigator on CCO.
