i'm setting up a lab, i want to be able to connect to it from public network. anybody has an idea how to do this ? i have a terminal server..

Hi
1st thing u need is a public ip address. this will likely be assigned to ur ADSL router.
u then use terminal server ethernet to be on ur ADSL LAN.
then u need to get ur ADSL router to NAT or PAT so u can telnet to ur public IP and sepcific Port whicj will lead u to terminal server ethernet

thank you for that answer, do you know what type of ADSL router i should get. i intend to use the same public IP my service provider assigned to me. it has never changed. lets assumed it changes how do u know..thank you so much in advance..

most DSL router have these functionalities today.
Try Linksys websites, Zyxel etc..
there are few sites that can tell u what is ur public address.
such as http://www.whatsmyipaddress.com/
