Per docs below:

NTP:

http://www.pool.ntp.org/zone/north-america

Cisco

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_configuration_example09186a008009470f.shtml

and

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk869/tk769/technologies_white_paper09186a0080117070.shtml

I setup ntp.conf on Pub and left Sub ntp.conf pointing to Pub. Pub does sync up with NTP stratum 2 server and Event Logs confirm this.

However, the phones do not sync up and are 3 min behind.

Hi Anthony,

When we first did this change it took some time for the change to propogate out to the end user phones. If you reset a phone via ccmadmin it would update but some phones did not change until the next day. I beleive there is a time sync in CCM set for 2:00AM.

If you just changed this today it may take a while.

Hope this helps!

Rob

I found the problem

I only have one sub whereby all my phones are registered to and NTP services was not started...so once it started, life was good

Odd as I thought the phones uses the pub to sync up and not the sub
