This thread is meant to track the issue in earlier ADSL firmware for the models above, where the circuit does not synchronize, or is unstable, or it has poor performances.

The necessary FW upgrade to fix the issue is publicly available with installation documentation from cisco:

Newer ADLS firmware is also embedded in newer IOS. The mapping of ADSL FW to IOS is available at:

Here below is "show dsl int" taken from a 1801 that would not sync ADSL with default FW.
