Hi,

i have to migrate every analog phone to 100% voip.

But actually i dont know so much about this technolgy, i got documentations, but still don't understand some stuffs.

i checked Unified Communication System 500 series platform.. it seems to be a great "all-in-one" Box, plus.. connected to a Catalyst express switch (8 ports or more)

Actually:

-20 phones + 1 fax

-only 1 location, 1 floor

-internet optical fiber 100mb symetric

-Budget 15000

Do you think my budget is ok ?

-is there a limit of teleworkers ?

-Do i still need a connection analog to PSTN ?

-How is it work for the fax ? my voip provider take care of that ?

-i guess The PoE Switches need to be connected direcly to ip-phones ?

Sorry i'm confused...i just try to see the things more clearly

thanks for your helps

ps: my boss want use only Cisco devices

Hello,

For 20 phones and 1 fax you might want to think about using cisco callmanager express and unity express. This should cut down on cost greatly. The express products run on a router instead of on a server.

You still need a connection to the PSTN I would reccomend 1 PRI since you only have 20 phones and the PRI would give you 23 usable calls at the same time.

Yes the phones need to be connected directly to the POE switch.

Please ask any more questiong that you need to

Thanks
