Frame Relay DLCI Bandwidth

Hi Experts,

We have a Frame relay DLCI configured between two of our sites and the CIR we have configured n our router is 500000.

The BC is 62500.

We have been facing a lot of latency and packet drops on our WAN even when our RX or TX utilization does not cross 300 Kbps and doubt if we really are getting 500000 bandwidth on the DLCI. Is there any way to check/verify how much bandwidth we are actually getting.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Use a network management tool like prtg to monitor pvc usage, there are dedicated mibs for that.

Also important to find where dropping are occurring, you can clear counters on both ends at the same time then check after time PVC counters for discrepancy.

After that you have solid evidence you can complain to SP.
