ISDN PRI with a VWIC-1MFT-T1?

Hello all,

We have a VWIC-1MFT-T1 on a 2821, and have a ISDN PRI circuit. The purpose for this circuit is a failover for remote locations in case their primary link goes down. I was told this VWIC card will work for what we need.

Unfortunately, I have looked everywhere (including Cisco) for configuration guides or examples with no luck. Apparently this is not a common way of working with ISDN PRI.

Is there anyone in a similar scenario? If so, can someone please provide configuration examples or instructions? Thanks,

Hi,

Support for Data PRI on VWIC-1MFT-T1 has been added to IOS only recently. You would also require PVDM2 modules and this can be incovenient.

The alternative is to use NM-xCE1T1-PRI that would not require nothing of the above.
