From config mode, you can run "telephony-service setup". Begin from there, then the additional commands will be added as necessary, and you can you can ask here.

If you have 2 BRi, configure them in trunk group, and reference this in your dp:

voice-port x/y/0

companding

trunk-group telco

voice-port x/y/1

companding

trunk-group telco

dial-peer voice 9 pots

destination-pattern 9...T

trunkgroup telco

thank you

thats a begining!

i have to configure both bri interfaces before i put them in a trunk group, right?

doing this will give me the "2nd line" ?

The Call Manager Express documents on Cisco.com are really good; however, if your new to CCME they can be a little challenging to piece together.

There is a Cisco Press book that I like that lays out CCME from start to finish and will really help get you up and running. It is call IP Communications Express: Call Manager Express with Cisco Unity Express.

There is an Adobe copy that you can download and get started without having to wait for a physicall book to ship. The link is posted below.

im going to need some help configuring the bri's as well...

this is what ive got for the bri

interface BRI1/0

no ip address

isdn switch-type basic-net3

isdn protocol-emulate network

isdn layer1-emulate network

isdn incoming-voice voice

line-power

but after i do this, i cant get the

voice-port ??

ALRIGHT!!i got the router to dial out!

under the show isdn status all was good

however, i still couldnt get the voice-port command...??

through all the doc's that ive seen,

all of them have the voice-port.

perhaps im doing something in the wrong order?

what steps do i need to follow next,

in order to be able route my incoming calls to the appropriate phone?

ahh...i didnt mention in my original post how my network is layed out..

i have my cisco router 2811...and anything that comes into it is forwared by nat out the fa0/0 interface where there is a asa5505.

my vlans reside from there on out. my router doesnt have any vlan configurations. the asa5505 take what ever comes into its outside port and forwards it to the appropriate vlan. after the asa 5505 i have a cisco catalyst express500...

so basically, what are the steps (in general or not) that i need to follow to get the voice routed inside.

ive added my bri interfaces so you can have a proper look:

interface BRI0/1/0

no ip address

no logging event link-status

isdn switch-type basic-net3

isdn tei-negotiation first-call

isdn point-to-point-setup

isdn incoming-voice voice

isdn sending-complete

trunk-group my-trunk

!

interface BRI0/1/1

no ip address

no logging event link-status

isdn switch-type basic-net3

isdn tei-negotiation first-call

isdn point-to-point-setup

isdn incoming-voice voice

isdn sending-complete

trunk-group my-group

thanks
