Linux VPN client loses DNS

I'm running client version 4.8.01 (0640) under Ubuntu 7.10 and after a few minutes the entries in /etc/resolv.conf get wiped. This should only be happening when the connection is dropped, but I'm not disconnecting. I can reconnect and the resolution settings are back again, but they disappear again after a few minutes.

I am terminating my clients on an ASA 5505, running 8.02 code.
