I have 2851 with 20 phones
IOS:12.4(11)XJ4
giving the following error:
Max Number of Skinny Server sockets exceeded: too many IP phones

I checked config, It is O.K.
One of the PC (Communicator + CUVA installed) on my network opens lots of TCP sockets.
This is the reason.
Communicator ver 2.1.2
CUVA ver 2.0.3
How can I solve this.

I think IPCP should not open that many sockets to cause problems to CCME, so you might need to follow this with the TAC to get a solution or fix.

I have gotten this error twice with a UC520 install with 7970's and 7941's
Restarted UC520 for a quick fix.

This is a licensing issue, one should buy more ip phone licenses and it will be resolved.
