Does 3750 support L3 routing

Hi,

I have a switch having SMI IOS(12.2(25)SEE) and of Model no- WS-C3750-48PS-S. This switch is not supporting L3 routing.

Will it work after upgrading the IOS please help me..........

Enter ip routing to enable routing.

I did this,this is supporting but its not supporitng the EIGRP routing,

"Protocol not in this image", i am getting this message.

Looking at the model numbers -S -SEE you have the standard image which doesn't include the routing options.

Yoe must have the enhanced image also called IP services for ip routing to work.

Hi Friend,

The image which you are running is SMI image which does support routing but does not support all routing protocols like EIGRP, OSPF , BGP etc.

It does support inter vlan routing i.e routing between vlans and basic routing protocol like RIP.

If you want your box to support advance routing protocols you have to upgrade your 3750 with EMI image which is also termed as davance services image.
