Dedicated line

Hello,

I work at an Hospital and we are going to place a dedicated link to connect with a business partner to send radiology images to their server. We are going to have one Cisco 1841 at each end of the link. I have many concerns regarding security, because I don't want my network open to the other site.

What would be the best way to connect these two sites? My idea is to have a PC outside my network and then send the images from the PCs on my network to this PC. Then this PC would automatically send the images at regular intervals to the server on the other side. I don't know if this would work.

Can anyone give me any help with this?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Pedro Meireles.

Yes, that would work. If you don't want to use an expensive dedicated line, you can use internet and VPN/encryption on the routers, and you will be protected anyway, because the router can be configured like a firewall.

hope this helps, please rate post if it does!
