SFP duplication

%SFP_BFRP-4-BAD_SFP : SFP error Duplicate SFP on port GigabitEthernet 2/1

this caused other interface 1/1 down and resulted n/w failure...I guess its SFP duplication , but what exactly it has duplicated as both SFP are from Cisco..any further details...

After no shut 1/1 status is "SFP security failure"

You have multiple SFP's with the same serial number. You need to either A) vove that SFP to another switch or B) buy a new SFP. We ran into this exact problem when we bought SFP's from someone other than Cisco. The serial number on the SFP maybe different but on the eprom they are the same.
